GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. If a room is booked and the reservation is confirmed by the hostel, an accommodation contract or lodging contract is concluded. This does not require a written form; a telephone order/confirmation is sufficient.

2. The conclusion of the accommodation contract obligates the contracting party to fulfill the agreed mutual obligations for the entire term of the contract: The hostel is obligated to keep the room available according to the order. The guest is obligated to pay the price for the period (duration) of the hostel room reservation.

3. The contracting parties are the hostel and the guest. If a third party makes a reservation for the guest, they are jointly liable with the guest to the hostel.

4. Subletting or reletting the rooms provided, as well as using them for purposes other than overnight accommodation, is not permitted without the written consent of the hostel. In the event of violations, the hostel reserves the right to charge additional fees or, in serious cases, to file a complaint.

5. Any general terms and conditions specifically introduced by the guest are invalid without the written consent of the hostel.

6. The hostel is not obligated to cover services provided by third parties or their expenses.

7. Upon conclusion of the contract, the hostel is entitled to request a payment guarantee (credit card) or an appropriate advance payment from the guest. If the guest refuses both, the accommodation contract becomes void, and the guest has no right to access the rental property. This decision will be made by the hostel on a case-by-case basis and communicated to the guest in writing.

8. All services provided must be paid by the guest at the hostel no later than the day of departure. Acceptable payment methods are cash, Mastercard, Visa and EC card. Payment by invoice (debtor) requires the prior written consent of the hostel or a written confirmation of payment by the billing party.

9. Payment of the invoice (debtor) must be made within 15 days of receipt to the hostel’s bank account stated on the invoice. In case of non-compliance, the hostel is entitled to charge reminder fees as follows:
16-30 days late: €5.00;
31-45 days late: €8.50.
If an invoice is not paid within 46 days, the hostel will refer the matter to a debt collection agency.
Late payment interest will be charged within the statutory limits after 30 days.

10. The reservation is considered guaranteed (the room will be kept free in all cases and not rented to anyone else) if the guest has concluded the accommodation contract (see #1).

11. If the guest does not use the booked hostel room – regardless of whether they cancel outside the free cancellation period or do not arrive without notice – they are legally obligated to pay the price for the booked hostel room, including any included services, provided by the hostel. Any operating costs not incurred will be deducted from the claim. The amount of this performance claim is defined in the reservation confirmation. If the hostel can successfully reschedule the unused services, the amount of the performance claim to be paid by the guest will be reduced accordingly. The guest is free to insure themselves against these costs arising under the aforementioned circumstances.

12. The free cancellation period granted to the guest in the reservation confirmation also applies to the hostel. The hostel is therefore entitled to withdraw from the contract within the same period, provided the guest waives their right of withdrawal upon request from the hostel.

13. The hostel is also entitled to withdraw from the contract if force majeure makes fulfillment of the contract impossible, if the hostel has reasonable grounds to believe that the use of hostel services could jeopardize the smooth operation, security, or public reputation of the hostel, or if the purpose of the stay is illegal. In the event of a justified withdrawal by the hostel, the guest is not entitled to compensation.

14. The booked rooms are guaranteed to be available to the guest from 14h00 on the day of arrival. Occupancy before this time can only be granted upon request and subject to availability. The room booked by the guest must be vacated by 10h00 on the day of departure. Use beyond this time requires the hostel’s approval and may incur additional charges.

15. The hostel excludes any liability for property brought into the hostel. Bikes brought into the hostel must be secured with an appropriate lock, even if stored in the bike garage.

16. Guests may use the hostel’s own parking spaces (limited number) free of charge. However, availability is not guaranteed, even if the guest has a binding room reservation. If the guest’s vehicle is damaged or lost during their stay in the hostel’s parking spaces, the hostel is not liable.

17. The hostel currently does not have any electric car charging stations and using standard electrical outlets for charging is prohibited. The hostel reserves the right to charge additional fees for violations.
